Dealing with Anxiety,
Stress, and Depression
Saturday, October 24th, 1–4pm
Anxiety, stress, and depression can make even ordinary situations feel difficult and overwhelming. Although we often look to our circumstances as the main source of these painful feelings, Buddha taught that our experience of happiness and suffering depends principally upon our mind.
In this special half-day course, we will explore practical Buddhist methods for understanding and transforming the states of mind that give rise to anxiety, stress, and discouragement. Through teachings and guided meditations, we will learn how to respond to life’s difficulties with greater clarity, resilience, and inner peace.
By developing a more balanced and positive way of relating to our thoughts, feelings, and circumstances, we can gradually become less controlled by worry and unhappiness and discover a deeper source of confidence and well-being within our own mind.
This course is suitable for everyone, whether you are new to meditation or have been practicing for many years.
Everyone is welcome.
Cost: $25
*Free for FP and Benefactor members
