The Wisdom of Letting Go
with Special Guest Teacher, Gen Kelsang Menla
Friday, March 20
A Public Talk 6:30 - 8pm
We often have trouble letting go of painful events from the past. We may blame ourselves or others, perpetuating inner conflicts or disputes for many years. This affects the quality of our life and the way we respond to our current circumstances.
Through practicing mindfulness and meditation, we can remove the source of our pain and finally let go, leading to a tremendous feeling of freedom and happiness
Gen Kelsang Menla was ordained as a Kadampa Buddhist monk in 2001 and is the Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Center Texas. He brings a warm heart and joyful attitude to sharing Buddha’s teachings and the practice of meditation.
Learning from Loss
Throughout our lives we all must come to terms with loss. Dealing with unexpected change and losing the people and things we treasure are painful. Buddha’s teachings show us how to accept, heal and transform our experiences of loss into deep meaning and spiritual growth. During this course, Gen Menla will explain how to understand the struggle that comes with loss and how to transform this pain into peace.
