Spring is coming and with it, a new series of classes and events. We look forward to seeing you soon.  

 Genla Dekyong

Gen-la Kelsang Dekyong, National Spiritual Director, will visit Tara Center on Friday, May 1.   Join us at 6 pm for a special Tara puja (chanted prayers) dedicated to world peace and the flourishing of Dharma.  Afterwards, for those who want to take their practice to the next level, Gen-la will share with us her inspiration on how to make the most of our spiritual life. (7 pm - by donation)

On Saturday,  May 2, carpool with us to Phoenix, where Gen-la will give a half-day workshop on Relying on a Spiritual Guide.

 

 How to Solve Our Human ProblemsTwo special General Program class series are available this term:
Series One: How to Solve Our Human Problems - A look at the Four Noble Truths and Buddha's wisdom advice on overcoming anger and cultivating patience.
Series Two: Living Meditation - ‘When the turbulence of distracting thoughts subsides and our mind becomes still, a deep happiness and contentment naturally arises from within.’  Classes Thursdays at Tara Center in Central Tucson, as well as in Northwest Tucson on Wednesdays.

Art of Enlightenment, May 9: Sacred Buddhist art reveals a spiritual path and can help link us to the Buddhas and holy beings.  In this special workshop, we can gain experience with the subtle character of Buddhist art by drawing the face of Buddha.
