Meditation ~ The Buddhist Way to Happiness
What Is Meditation?
Meditation is focusing our mind on a virtuous object. By doing this a little every day we
can decrease our negative mind states such as anger and jealousy, the cause of most of our
daily problems. Gradually we increase our inner peace and contentment and come to
experience a real and lasting happiness.
By training in meditation, we create an inner space and that enables
us to control our mind regardless of the external circumstances. Gradually we develop
mental equilibrium, a balanced mind that is happy all the time.

You do not need to be a Buddhist to attend our meditation classes, or to benefit from the meditation
techniques which are taught. Everyone can benefit from learning to cultivate and maintain
inner peace through meditation.
Kadampa Buddhism ~ the path of wisdom and compassion
Kadampa Buddhism is a Mahayana Buddhist school founded by the great Indian
Buddhist Master Atisha (982-1054 AD). His followers, known as Kadampas, integrate all of
Buddha's teachings into their meditation practice and use this wisdom and compassion to
transform daily activities into the path to enlightenment. To find out more about Kadampa
Buddhism visit our main site.

Contribute to peaceful minds leading to peace in the world
Without inner peace, outer peace
is impossible. We all wish for world peace, but world peace will never be achieved unless
we first establish peace within our own minds. We can send so-called peacekeeping
forces into areas of conflict, but peace cannot be imposed from the outside with
guns. Only by creating peace within our own mind and helping others do the same can we
hope to achieve peace in this world.
